Default Quiet muffler question

For several years I enjoyed the sound of muffler elims on my 92 A4. A few months ago, I got a new Hotcam installed (among other things and the increase in exhaust sound was uncomfortable. So, I re-installed the original factory mufflers. I know that a lot of catback systems are designed to improve the sound of the exhaust, and maybe gain a few HP in the bargain, but that's not what I want. What I want is stealth technology. I want the exhaust system with minimal sound and also the least restrictive flow. To some extent, these are mutually exclusive, but which exhaust system gives the best power with the quietest sound?

Another consideration: I'd like to get long tube headers, with Random Tech cats. With a Hotcam, is there any way to quiet down this combo to suburban noise levels?

Add a Corsa system to your RT cats and Long tubes. It seems that this is the quiet system of choice. At least its quiet in the cabin, but still has a decent note outside the car.

I would agree with TJ. Corsa is a great system and it doesn't beat the crap out of your ears. I wanted the same thing out of my car so I went with Hooker AeroChambers. I did mufflers only and welded them into my existing stock pipe. It was the sound I was going for. There is some internal resonance at 1300-1800rpm, but it very minimal. Corsa does not have any though.

Will the longtube headers (with RT cats) fit on an auto LT1?

also check out Dynamax SS & Welded Ultra Flo's....I hear they are pretty quiet...not much louder than stock.
