Default Opti Upgrade Part #'s

I'm getting ready to install a new camshaft. While I'm at it, I've decided to upgrade my opti and timing chain. Does anyone have the part #'s for the 95/96 opti upgrade.

Timing cover (95)
Wire harness
OptiSpark
Vacuum line
Any other parts needed for the upgrade

Cloyes double roller timing chain.

Balancer hub, I know I don't need it for the upgrade, just want to replace the current.

I am in this process too. I'm curious, is the vaccum line you listed just the extra one for the new opti?

The summit part number for the correct Cloyes is: CLO-9-3145 I just picked one up this last week. Looks like a nice part.

I also sourced the newer style timing cover off ebay for 15 bucks.

Also would you need a new oil pan gasket and timing cover gasket?

Hope that helps a little. Other than that I think you have everything.

How about upgrading your coolant pump? Go with a Meziere heavy duty electric pump and the timiing chain upgrade will be easier with out the gear driven pump shaft. And you'll eliminate one possible oil leak at that seal, and, theoretically, gain a few extra ponies.

I don't remember the #'s, but if you go on gmpartsdirect and go after the extreme duty timing chain, the opti and cover, etc. part #'s are given w/ the listing for the chain kit.

So you went with upgrading the vette--didn't get the Buick GN? too bad.

Cam from Pete @ CNC? What will it be?

Yeah, i decided not to get the GN. I just don't need three high performance vehicles, already spend enough money on the Vette and Lightning.

Yes, the cam is a Comp Cams custom gring from Pete.

You can just replace it with the stock LT1 hub for a 93 to 95 LT1. Don't get one for a 96 because they used a crank sensor which makes the hub about .100" shorter in length. As long as th Cloyes crank sprocket is the same thickness as the stock LT1 sprocket the hub and pulley alignment will be ok.

Down the road you might look at the Delteq ignition set up as well. Picked up 20+HP 6200-6500 RPM with this upgrade. Eliminated the MSD also.
