Default Adjusting Shift Points w/Automatic Trans

I did an LT1 to LT4 conversion on '92 C4. Balanced, blueprinted, etc. After the engine rebuild, I'm unable to get the shift points on the automatic transmission adjusted. The engine makes peak HP at 5,700 rpm and the the trans doesn't shift until it hits the rev limiter at 6,300 rpm. Any thougths on how I can lower the WOT shift point?

are you just putting this thing into drive and not shifting manually? If so it should be shifting at or below 6k rpm. You might want to make sure that your TV cable is adjusted properly. If it is then I would say that your tranny might be starting to have some issues.

Only make sure the TV cable is adjusted properly. Do not try to alter the shift points with the TV cable. First, cable adjustments don't have a major influence over the shift points, and second, a cable that isn't very close to the spec adjustment can drastically shorten the life of the trans. Shift points are properly adjusted by changing the weights and springs in the governor.
