I've removed all 4. Took some vacuum caps and pushed them through the fitting, and then shoved a bolt in there to give it a good solid seal. No leaking.
I cleaned and painted mine over a year ago and did it with the calipers on the car. I think its easier that way. Clean the calipers with brake cleaner and wipe dry and spray the caliper paint into a paper cup and paint the caliper with a brush.
If you have the rubber lines, just install small clamps in the middle of the hoses before removing the lines from the calipers. Pinching the hose will keep air from entering at that point so when you reinstall the calipers, the bleeding won't take a lot of time.
Bleed the brakes in this order: RF, RR, LF, RR. Because the fluid from the M/C flows to the ABS pump first, the distances are based from the ABS pump, not the M/C.
