I finally replaced all fuel injectors today. Only took about 3 hrs. Most time consuming was removing and putting surrounding parts back together. I couldn't wait to start the car...only thing is, is that the car wont stay running, service engine light comes on, try to put the car in drive and it stalls. Retraced all the connections, vacuum hoses etc. everything appears to be ok.. does anyone have any ideas. After changing injectors does something have to be reset.HELP

Put a fuel pressure guage on it to be sure all is well with the fuel pressure. Did you replace the injectors with OEM or ?? Some folks have some problems with certain types.
this might sound very stupid, but try opening up your gas cap, mine did the same thing ince before and a buddy of mine told me to do that, I didnt listen to him cause I though he was stupid, untill I finaly did and sure enough, it started right up, go figure.
You shouldn't HAVE to reset anything, but removing the battery cable for 1 minute is always a good idea. I'd definitely go and make sure that you're FP builds up with the key in the "on" position to start with.
Just got home after a few drinks, pulled the fuel cap, took off the bettery cable and the car still runs like crap. Maybe i should have just left the old bearly functioning injectors!! Any way tommorrows another day, I guess most of it will be spent trying to figure out whats going on....Thanks for all your suggestions...
the SES light comes on but there is no code (flashing)
It will not flash a code unless you put it in diagnostic mode. If it doesn't flash a code with the car not running then flash it while the car is running or go buy a code reader.

Did ya try raising and lowering the drivers window?
Did ya try raising and lowering the drivers window?
You got it wrong. You must lower your windows and leave them lowered. If you raise them again, you create an error message and have to repeat the entire cycle.
Car finally running GREAT,injectors ticking away (haven't heard that music in quite some time) like a new 1991 vette. I took the plenum off, changed the gaskets, replaced all the vacuum hoses and the engine started right up and continued running smooth. I took the car down to our local street where you can get the speed upto 120. What a difference in performance with the new injectors..Thanks to all who helped. Frank
