90 shifter wiring?

Can some one tell me what the purple wire and the yellow with black strip wire does or goes to? This is on the shifter wire connection for a automatic.

Yellow/Black comes from pin 4 of the Starter Enable Relay, to Pin E of the Neutral Safety switch.

Purple wire at Pin F is the Output of the Neutral Safety switch and goes to the Starter Solenoid.

When the Shifter is in Park or Neutral, current flows from the Starter Enable relay Yellow/Black wire thru the Neutral Safety Switch and out thru the Purple wire to the Starter Solenoid.

Talk about consistancy, those are the same colors for the same function that appeared on my 67 Olds Cutlas W31.

Thanks for the reply. Now we will see if all the work it took to put the B&M hammer shifter in pays off. It is not as easy as on would think.

But it looks great!
