Default I got som question for TS 23head users.

Now when its time to install rockers on the heads I cant find the tech doc for my TS 23 heads. I need to know torque value for the rocker studs. And where I should put the washers that included my heads?
Also I would like to know what size the water temp censor is on the passenger side cylinder head? I got a new temp censor from NAPA, cause I lost my old one. But its to small and dont fint the hole?? Must got the wrong part??

Thanks for your help..

(I also mailed TS about this, but no response yet )

I believe the rocker studs are torqued to 55 FT/LBS and you will need to buy adapters from a local parts store to put in the temperature sensor. The washers are to be used under the cylinder bolt heads to keep the steel bolts from tearing up the alum head.

Thanks alot!

I used the washers that came with my ARP head bolt kit. So I guess I dont need those..

I think the hole in the cylinder head is 1/2 inch ( 12.7mm) right?
Where can I get those adaptors?

regards

take your coolant sensor with you and eyeball it- I think you need a 3/4 NPT outer diameter plug (that the sensor will screw into). Any plumbing or decent autoparts store will have the brass adapeters and just look around until you find the right one.

You may have a problem in Sweden with the adapters. Here in the states they are common 1/2" by 3/8" NPT (national pipe thread) bushings and are available in practically every hardware store. I just put them in my TFS heads yesterday.

Devilfish, you'll need one for each head, at least that is what mine needed. Remember they have tapered threads. Try a hardware store instead of the auto parts. Good luck!

hmmm One for each head? So I need to plug a second hole on the driverside cylinder head? I only got one water temp censor. The other one is on the t-house..
