Hey guys, does has anyone here ever retrofitted a 1991 dash in place of an earlier digidash style? I am wanting to install a 91 Dash in my 89....Is this a possibility, having eveything function, (all guages, heater contols, etc. ) How much do you think would be involved (a LOT i'm sure) and would it be worth the effort.
Thanks in advance,
James
Eh, not worth it IMO. The square dash goes better with the whole airplane/boat cockpit feel of the c4 anyway, and if you hate the digidash like most everyone else (I dont mind mine, but can see how you might) then just go with some analog guages and stick them in the dash you got now. Several people have done it here, and a couple even made how-to articles with pictures and all. If I find the linkage I'll let you know, but that's how I would do it.
I knew it would be a tuff one,I was thinking maybe someone actually pulled it off.I'm a big fan of the 91-96 cockpit, possibly I could do some part collecting...then do the swap.I have too much into everything else to change my mind about the car now.Well thanks again,
Jimmy
I know someone on another forum who pulled off exactly that. I think he is a member here too, but not sure. Here is a link to one of his posts over there. You could quiz him over there or email etc. Click on his name and check details. http://www.digitalcorvettes.com/foru...threadid=33070

erm he did a c5 interior, which of course kicks *** and i'd take it over the late c4 interior, but c4>c4 swap just seems retarded
