Ok, i know i've seen these around. I really dig C3 sidepipes and always wanted to put some sort of side exit on my 84...i remember seeing a C4 side exhaust kit with molded side skirts to cover it all up and the exit is right in front of the rear tire...i remember the kit selling for north of 1k though...does anyone have it, experience with it, a link to it, or know where i can order one? Is there a significant performance increase with it or for strictly power should i stick to an undercar one? thoughts suggestions and otherwise are welcome and encouraged...
also, i wouldn't be putting this on a stock bodied C4...it would be recieving a body kit of some sort to complete the rest of the car...
The "side effects" kit looks pretty good on the c4, but it's expensive and from looking at the pipes, it can't be any better than the stock exhaust in terms of power. It has a couple of really sharp bends in the pipe in order to exit where it does.

There are a couple of members on the forum with that setup. I remember seeing a late black C4 with this setup posting pics a while back and it looked very good. I've also seen pics of it on a early C4 with an almost steel blue metallic color or gray and nice wheels. I'll post the pic. Im not sure on how the system sounds....Here ya go Power/Side Effects Site

the current going price is about 1500 bucks complete, but mid america has the non functional side skirts for sale...i wonder how much trouble it would be to make them functional and just rig my own piping...if that could be done...if not it doesn't scare me for the price...it looks very sweet..

That's what I was thinking just get a set of dynomax sidepipes and put the skirts over it. and I think those wheels would look killer on my Iroc
i saw an LT1 vert with functional sidepipes about 2 years ago.....looked pretty cool and sounded great imho, if you're going to do this, get real ones not fake ones
i know they look killer, and sound excellent, but 1500 bucks is a big hit to the wallet...i noticed about where the exit for the pipe is...is right across from the rear of the cat...so what was thinking was buying the non functional ones, cuttin some holes, and running the pipe myself right from the cat to the side of the car, instead of the turns it has to make going from the cat back to the front of the car and back down again in the kit...though if i do mysteriously find 1500 extra dollars laying around here somewhere i will not hesitate to purchase the real full kit...i'd rather do it that way, but finances won't allow that right now...
