Default stalling problem with gen 6 dfi

After a load or high rpm stop the engine rpm dips down to 300 or 400 rpm and some times dies.......I've changed the tps and map tables which has helped but it's still there.........what else controls this.....I have the dreded superram which map systems hate....it rolls the rpm at start up.......cam presusure wave chasing the the map.... richening the injectors.....if I zero the first part of the map table the idle rolling stops but it still stalls...........help mr. wizard.......TJ

You should see something along the lines of "throttle follower" maybe something something vs vehicle speed also. But its just a idle setting for a moving state. Try setting it a bit higher.

I can probally look for the right table name in my gen 6 stuff when I get back monday

I was thinking the same thing. Go to the throttle follower screen, adjust the throttle blade until the triangle is just above or on the graph line.

I agree with BV, also reset your TPS after the throttle blade adjustment. Double check your fuel maps in the idle regions as well. I have seen some that had a lot of fuel for whatever reasons in the LOW (high vacuum) MAP pressure areas. And when the throttle is chopped the MAP pressure goes down, hits these high pw numbers and the engine stalls or nearly stalls because it gets hit with a lot of fuel.

Thanks for the help guys...........will try zeroing the throttle follower to the throttle blade.......haven't done that........the engine likes a rich idle......anything leaner than 13 / 1 it runs rought and I'm having big occilations in the map readings at idle.

how big is the cam?

Do you have enough timing at an idle?
