Would a turbo LT5 suffice?

This is unique

With the difficulties our friend is having with his SC belt I would do a custom cog belt system.
Did you buy another Vette or just an LT5 motor?

Buy one and ship it over. I'll put an Eaton M90 over each bank of runners for ya. Custom upper plenum, 2 scoops in hood=bitchin rootsblown LT5

might just work. but I'd rather do the twin turbo boogie.

SGC hopefully finally has there car running. the LT5 is an expensive platform to modify, but it sure looks cool!!!

speaking of custom intakes, how about a slide valve stack style intake on top of the factory injector housings. seems like that would work pretty well to me!! the lotus gang did this with a racing LT5 and got well over 700 hp out of their flat crank lt5. pretty cool stuff.

I could build it, the catch is area. If your going boosted you'll need a linear bearing for the slides. force =pressure x area so if you have 2 square inches of port area, and 14.7psi of boost (or 30 in of mercury) there is 30lbs of force holding that valve shut. It can get ugly (stuck throttles, etc. it's certainly doable, but will require some trick hardware.

I dig turbo's more also. I just know the roots routine well. My dad is as crazy for roots as I am for turbos. He like's em bigger that an eaton (6-71/8-71) . If you think about it, I could mount them sideways from brackets off the top of the heads and it might just fit under the hood. It would have 2 intakes like a Viper though.
