headlight sticking

Greasing the gears calls for pulling the headlight and separating the two halfs of the motor. Lots of nuts and screws to get inside the motor though.
If I remember correctly there are three sets of contacts inside the motor. Could be that one set is not making good contact. You'd have to open the motor assembly to see them. I wouldn't be too quick to take that route though.
I'd first check to see if there's any interference between the headlight and the hood.
I'd check the relays too, there are three of them in the driver's side well. I'd make sure that the connection to the bad acting headlight is corrosion free.
Last year I chased a malfunctioning passenger side headlight problem til I was seeing headlight parts in my sleep. I finally realized I was out of my element and sent the stupid thing to Corvette Central for repair.

Tech Tips have a step by step guide and it's not a hard job.
My first one took me about 2 hours and 2nd one about 45 minutes
start to finish. I would suggest buying the kit from Ecklers for 4.99 each side and using that part. I have heard some folks on the forum that have had to rework after they installed the Home Depot part.
But I have no personal experience with that.
Good Luck.
