Default ZZ4 install - now - need help!

OK guys,
I wanted to wait to put a ZZ4 into my 86 until the tremek 500 came in - but seeing as how Keisler can't come through - I need to do the engine swap!

86 coupe 4+3

This is a daily driver that goes to the track for fun - silverstate etc.

Flywheel
The ZZ4 I'm putting in to this thing was originally for a C-3 with an Autotrans - so it came with the autotrans flywheel (I think it's 12 3/4" or something) but It looks like I'm going to need a 14" flywheel. I assume I can just take the flywheel off of the L-98 I'm taking out right?

Starter
A ZZ4 will require a HD starter right? And whats this about a Permanent Magnet Gear reduction starter?

Tortion Dampner
the ZZ4 has an 8 inch tortion dampner on it - The literature indicates that it will not fit - so do I go smaller? if so where do I find such a beast?

Injectors
I'm going to be putting the stock TPI back onto this ZZ4. Should I gto to the trouble to get some of those reconditioned injectors - matched? if so what LBS would I be looking at and what price will I expect to pay?

Exhaust
For now I'm looking at just bolting on the stock exhaust - is their a cheap option that I am missing to upgrade power?

Water Pump
I'm going to stay with a mechanical pump- The one on the ZZ4 has "long legs" and I assume the vette will need toi "short legs" water pump right?

Pulling the engine
What are you bolting the chain to pull the engine to? I have a nice bolt hole on the front left (drivers side) but the right rear looks pretty devoid of a usefull anchor

Is it easier to pull the tranny first to allow you to slide the engine back? We are hoping to avoid pulling the rack and pinion - is this doable? (I'm pulling the tranny anyway - how in the hell do you get the longitudinal brace from around the drive shaft- there doesn't seem to be enough room (I pulled allthe bolts, it moves freely - but I can't find clearance to remove it.

Any other tips comments (smartazz or otherwise are acceptable) or ideas are welcome.

Carl, I will take a stab at helping. The zz4 had a neutral balance harmonic balancer. Any neutral balancer that will fit the chassis will work. I think stock c4's use 6 3/4 inch. The flexplate is external(but different than 400's and big blocks) It also has a unique bolt pattern to fit the 1 pc seal crank. Stock injectors or ford 24# injectors will work fine with minor fuel pressure tweaks. Any good gm high torque or aftermarket starter will work. The aftermarket will have both bolt patterns to fit either flexplate. The starter you have can get the nose swapped to work with the 12 inch (153 tooth) flexplate. Many exhaust options. I use 2 1/2 straight duals from Mid america with dynomax mufflers. You will need to use your stock water pump. It is specific to c-4 's (84-91) I usually use an intake bolt on pass rear and a front drivers side accesory bolt for the chain. This makes for a balanced pull.I never feel comfortable doing engine and trans together. I install motor and then trans. Hope this helps.
