changing my u -joint.....

Balancing Half shafts is not a requirement, however I had a driveline shop put in the spicers and he balanced them both for $30.00.
He is now building me a new aluminum driveshaft because the other was not straight. The u-joints did not last 3,000 miles that I had put in the driveshaft six (6) months ago. (cheap u-joints). Lesson learned. If you want it done right, do it yourself. The driveline shop put my driveshaft on the lathe and saw that it was bent and showed me on a guage.
I only want to do this once, and I am ****!! If it spins and can be balanced, it will be!
