Hi guys,
How much voltage should a TPS have at closed and full throttle?

Throttle closed, tps voltage must be .54 v +/- .08 volts. Throttle open should be over 4.0 volts.

closed should be under .5 volts. around .48-.46 is good.
as you open the throttle you should look for smooth increase to 5 volts wide open full throttle. any flat spots is a bad TPS.
this test is done w/ the motor off, key on.
loosen the top screw of the TPS to adjust. Good luck~ Jeff

You don't have (and shouldn't expect) to get a full 5 volts at idle. Its damn near impossible to get that and the proper idle voltage. Anything over 4 is fine.

I would just add that this question also depends on engine type. Above info is for L98. LT1 and LT4, PCM will interpret as little as 3.75v as 100% TPS.

A stock L98 will do the same, but is not self-adjusting like an LT1/4 is. The base ECM program assumes anything over 69% throttle is full throttle and puts the car into Power Enrichment mode.

5.00 volts * 0.69 = 3.45 volts
