I have a stock 95 w/LT1, 112K. Looks like the original plugs are still in the engine. Would like to install new plugs and wires as part of spring cleaning. When I put the plug wrench to no 2 and no 4, they wouldn't budge. Engine was dead cold for about 3 days. Must admit I didn't push real hard, flexed a 12 inch long 3/8 drive breaker bar a little then lost my nerve. Didn't want to strip or break a plug. Am I missing something?
Run it only long enough to get heads very warm, not hot.
Considering that torque spec on the plugs for LT1 aluminum heads is 11 ft-lbs, someone apparently Gorilla'd them down for you at some point in the past.
