OK I hope I'm not starting another debate here..................
After my last post 1 5/8 or 1 3/4 hookers, I'm going with the 1 3/4 coated hookers long tube.
Are you guys cutting the flange to allow for heat flex and proper fit. Or is this just old school?
if you get the hookers... well mine were cut on the pass side but thats to get it around the coolant sensor i think. you dont need to cut your headers. and dont cut, drill, or weld your headers after they have been caramic coated!
thanks your friend

Hopefully you won't have to for fitment and there's no need to do so otherwise. Years ago I bought a set of Hooker's "best" competition, equal length headers for a '63 Ford big block and they were the most ill-fitting pieces of $h1t headers that I've ever dealt with. I had to cut the flange in between every port AND seriously enlarge many of the holes just to get them to bolt to the heads. There were other fitment problems as well. This is why to this day I will never buy anything from them.

i bought a set of coated comps for my 67 Camino years ago and collector sat up 3 inches higher than the other! Collector was pointed right into the firewall. Oh, they rusted less than a year and a half later.
