Electrical Problem
I am having an electrical system problem with my 89 auto. The symptoms are: Battery drained overnight after amp/speaker install, could not use power window with radio on at the same time. Dash blanks out with the radio on and sometimes with hard throttle. Right half of the dash gauges are half dim almost all the time, regardless of the radio, sometimes come on full bright. All Intermittently. Had the stereo install people triple check and test the wiring they did. They also did a test on my electical and said that it showed problems on the charging side. Battery is good. Had the firestone people check it when they did my tires. They said it was good. Any suggestions?

I think so too. Someone mentionioned that they thought the wiring to the alternator needed replacing, and that might be my problem. Could the alternator or faulty wiring to it be the cause?
