Default `96 computer mounting brackets question

Hi,
I was checking my clutch fluid level today and noticed that my computer sits on top of brake fluid container.
There`s only one metal bracket that holds it still and is located on the side of the cruise control unit.
Looks like there`s a plastic arm type bracket that goes to the bottom of computer but is broken.
Do you guys have the part number for that plastic bracket(arm)?
Hs anyone replace that? How hard is to get to it?
Thanx

Mine is also broken. You can't leave the damn interstate battery guys alone for a second.

I e-mailed GM Parts Direct and got the following part number:

10143544 ECM bracket

They've always been great at giving me part numbers.

The real bear will be removing the Brake vacuum booster to replace the ECM bracket.

Jason,

I`m wondering how and who broke my ECM bracket....i bought the car in this condition....how stupid can someone be to pull on something till it brakes.
Seems like not to many ppl here have that bracket broken.
Exchanging it i think is VERY important. Without the bracket the ECM bounces and vibrates and there are a lot of electronics in there that can get screwed up...then car won`t start all of a sudden

I've probably put 12-20k miles on mine since it happened with no real problems. I just rigged it up so it didn't tear up the master cylinder. But I don't drive the car very much anymore.

I was mostly held up in making my repair by the amount of crap you have to remove to get to where this bracket mounts. I was afriad I couldn't finish it in a weekend.

If your anywhere near houston you could come help me repair mine, then you'd be experienced when it came time to do yours and you could turn it around faster .

BTW, I'd guess it was broken by another moron trying to take the battery out the top.

Jason,
I`m in So. Cal. ....i took mine here to a local dealer...to much crap to remove to get to it...i`m getting my clutch slave and master replaced among with other little things.
Sometimes i just don`t have the patience to deal with frustration of running into stuff i cant do myself.
Good luck!
