I bought a used module for my 94 that goes in line with the computer. I don't know where the red and gray wire hookup. I assume the red one is 12 volts but that's about all I can figure out. I'm not willing to take a chance on ruining my ecm by hooking it up wrong. Does anyone have one of these that can help me out with the install? The website is no help, and I can't get a hold of anyone when I call ADS. I just get voicemail. I doubt the guy I bought it from knows how to do it since it was sitting in his toolbox for who knows how long and he just took it off a car that was in his shop.
What exactly is this thing supposed to do? For $119 new I can't imagine it doing anything at all. Anyway, I couldn't find anything on their website that even explains the benefits of their product, let alone how to install it. I'd forget about installing it and chalk that up to a live and learn experience.
As far as I can tell it bumps timing, but other than that I don't know. I paid $40 with an airfoil for it so it wasn't a big cost. Obviously the guy doesn't sell these anymore or they would be on the website. I've found similar products on the Jet and Hypertech page and they only have one wire to tie in, this one has two.
Man, I would not play with it if you can't find out what it does or how it installs. Use it as a paper weight. And if the wind is real strong, add the air foil
