Default Transgo shift kits

I have a few questions about transgo shift kits.

1) My transmission has a b&m shift kit now and I don't think it is set to shift hard enough. I want to install a transgo. Will I run into problems since the b&m was already installed?

2) Someone on Ebay has transgo kits forsale.

Is this the same kit as the $130.00 kit through summit racing?

3) Should I replace anything else while doing this (boost valve, servo, etc..)?

Thanks

What are you wanting to do exactly? You already have the Vette servo. Just add the boost valves, and the necessary components? Let me know?

Right now the trans down shifts to hard from 2nd to 1st. The 1 to 2 shift is good but the 2 to 3 shift is not that firm at all. I read that these are classic b&m 700r4 problems and that the transgo kit is much better.

Does the b&m kit modify anything (drill holes in valve body, etc) that will screw up the transgo kit?

Does the transgo kit come with a larger boost valve?

I would also like to know how this goes.... I'm thinking of adding one to my stock 96CE, transmission. Looks like an easy install but then again...those can be famous last words!

I've used B&M before but never Transgo.. anyone have opinion's one way or the other?

Default Opinions

Over the last year and a half or so these kits have been discussed alot.
The overall concensus has been in favor of transgo over b&m kits.
I am only passing on opinions of others and this summer MIGHT put a transgo in my car. I read the directions and thought it over, and thought it over, and thought it over..........

I can't say about switching from B & M to Transgo...I can tell you I have a Transgo with the full race set up in mine...shifts real hard at part throttle (too hard really) but at the track at WOT it shifts like lightening and smooth as silk...

I have the same thing in my 93. At half throttle or less it will chirp the tires into 2nd and the 2 to 3 shift is the best I think it could be.
I'm not sure about what it would do with it because of the B&M, but I don't think it would be a problem. The B&M is the most basic kit that I know of and the Transgo is NOT. The Tranny guy I had build mine said that he had never done a Transgo before - only B&M. He then told me after he got the kit that it was the most involved kit that he had ever seen. My GF does not like the 1-2 shift when I'm less the halve throttle but LOVES it at WOT.

I myself would have someone install it and when they are in there have them put some better and bigger servo's in there too.
