I got my 86 with no speakers in the rear, there are 4 wires with the connectors cut off, I have a pair of 6x9's with the normal 2 connectors but I'm unsure how to wire em.. how should I wire em up?
Run new wires for the rear. If the car had the Bose, you don't want to use the wires (unless the Bose is still there - then this is going to take a lot longer). If not, the car is 19 years old, avoid imminent headaches and just do it anyway. By the way, what about the head unit, possible amps...
no amps, the headunit is an older pioneer cd headunit I pulled from my camaro, so are the speakers.. guess I'll just run all new speaker wires.. how about the wires for the doors? Can I still use those? they are the normal 2 connection setup.. and yes the car did come with the bose system.
Four wires at each speaker indicates a Bose setup. The Helms shows a black wire (ground), a pink or pink/black (power), a dark blue (low level audio), and light blue (low level audio). For the right hand rear speaker.

Don't use the wires.
The power wires run to the speaker relay, and the preamp ones go to the head unit, but they're puny, and the rear speaker negatives are connected to eachother I believe.
The front wires are a pain in the *** to snake into the doors, but it can be done.
The only thing I reused was the front bose enclosures.
