hey bad cop I am always happy to help out a fellow b body driver. You talk about wanting more power out of that car then those people are the guys to help you with that. THere a lot of impala SS 94-96 that are in the 11-10 second range so the possibilities are endless with these things

How come GM fitted screens and almost every other car manufacturer (eg Ford, Honda) never specified screens to be fitted to their MAFs.

What did GM know that Ford didn't?

I'd be very worried if anything large came through the filter to warrent the screens being there.

Took my rear one out of the L98 but kept front IN to stop bugs breaking the wire and to straighten airflow for more accurate measurements. Personally I also agree with someone elses posting here; and I have kept heatsink stock in MAF, on the theory of longer life for the price factor.
