tranny question

can someone please help me?i just finished replacing the overdrive in my 84 and now it's stuck in reverse.

so you know what i'm dealing with i have an 84 with the 4+3.thanks for any help.

The only thing I can think right off would be that the linkage on the four speed is pushed into reverse.
Have tried taking it out underneath?

yeah i tried to shift it out from under the car but i'm not sure if i got it or not.btw what do you mean i almost got my name right

think so but it's getting to late tonight tomess with it any more.i figured i'd ask around here to see if anyone could give me some ideas as to where to look for the problem.i'll finish it up tomorrow
