I am installing my 383 but I realized that I need to gap the plugs and I am not sure where to set them. I am running TFS 64cc chambers and the CR is around 10.3:1.
I am using Autolite 3924 per the TFS recommendation. What would be a good gap?
My Vette is a 84 and I just have a Accel Coil and Module. Everything else is stock. Maybe I am wrong but I thought a higher compression motor required a slightly tighter plug gap. Stock is 0.044 - I think.
I run the Autolite 606's in mine...they are gapped at .030...makes it idle a tiny bit rough but at the track it's perfect for WOT...btw, I just changed mine and the old ones looked like brand new after 20 months and over 300 passes at the dragstrip...not bad for $1.57 each...
