Default 02 sensor sims

Any ever used the o2 sims (not for the primary) but for the secondary O2 sensors?
And what kinda luck did you have with them.

Thought about giving a pair out for a try ... hearing that high flow cats and other exhaust mods can cause some some heaaches.

ooops i guess i should have posted this before
Its a 96. and it would only replace the back 2

You only need O2 sims for a 96 model w/o cats. If you have any C4 below 1996 you do not need O2 sims with cats or without them. The computer does not care. Also on all C4's below 1993 you will need to install a heated O2 sensor with Long tube headers. Thats really about it.

You can use the SIMs but you would be better off reprogramming the PCM and have them remove the aft O2 sensor check at the same time. That's given you have enough other mods to make the cost worthwhile, of course.

On my '96 I have no cats or rear sims. You can reprogram the ECM disreguard the rear O2 sensors.

I dont right now ...
IM planning on having to in a years time or so.

But right now its just not worth the reprogramming.
... replace 2 sensor for 100 bucks or bypass them for $50 and not worry about the exhaust mods or a tune until i replace at least the cam ...
By then im hoping to have a 383 shortblock for it to go in

cash permitting
