Which random tech should I buy?

Default Which random tech should I buy?

Round, Metal Matrix
7000 Series-- 2", 2-1/4", 2-1/2", 2-3/4", 3", 3-1/2" and 4" inlet/outlet

Round, Ceramic
8100 Series-- 2", 2-1/4", 2-1/2" and 3" inlet/outlet

Oval Ceramic
8000 Series-- 2", 2-1/4", 2-1/2" and 3" inlet/outlet

9000 Series-- 2", 2-1/4", 2-1/2", 3", 3-1/2" and 4" inlet/outlet


I'm going to go with 3"inlet/outlet but can't decide with series to go with. suggestions?

I would contact them and see what they suggest. Also, check with a vendor... get their opinions.

Considering where you have to put them behind the header collector you would want the round for space. I have no opinion on metal or ceramic matrix.

The metallic substrate cats are the least resrictive. And unfortunately the most expensive. An alternative would be a set of a Dynatech Headers metal cats which are available from JEGs or SUMMIT for about $149

Wish I could help you, Robert, but I don't recall which RT bullet cats I have installed. At any rate they're the round ones and I tend to think they were the metal substrate jobs. I have them installed behind my headers with stainless steel band clamps. I had two lengths of straight pipe cut to fit in their place for racing, but to be honest, I've never bothered with swapping them.

The Metal Matrix flow better. On a stock engine it probably wont make much of a difference, but on your modified engine it does.

Get the Dynatechs...the inside is exactly the same as the RT's for less money.
