I know this has probably been addressed, but my search did not give a very clear answer. I have a 92 Coupe and it came with 9.5 inch wheels at all four corners. I am now in the in market for new tires, the stock tires are 275/40/17. I would like to put 285/40/17 on the wheels as replacements. I believe this should not be a problem. Does anyone know for sure if the 285's will fit the 9.5 inch stock wheel ok?? This is not a daily driver, but does make trips between FL and OH several times a year as well as the cruise in
You should not have a problem with the 285 tire in terms of clearances in the wheel wells as there is only about a half-inch or so difference in width. There is also very little difference in tire diameter so it should not throw off the speedo very much.
I'm putting them on all four corners. Thanks everyone for the quick feedback. I plan on purchasing them and having them installed this week. Need to get a few miles on them before the Cruise-In!!!!!!! This should be great, 285's at all corners!!!!!
