Hey guys, I have a 96 LT1 and it just threw a P400(?) Code and when the guy at autozone ran it for me it said it was an EGR problem. Does that mean I need to replace the EGR valve? and if so how hard is it to replace, could I do it in my apartment parking lot in an after noon?
Thanks in advance for any advise.

It's more a pain in the ***... You need a 10mm wrench, best yet, a 10mm gear drive wrench. There isn't enough space left to get a ratchet down there.
Next question - does the code flash upon startup? If so, then it's not the EGR valve, but the EGR solinoid. If the light takes 20 minutes, then it's the valve.

The code stays on. I can clear it by pulling the battery cable but then it comes back after a while. 20 miles or so.
