Just purchased a 1990 convertible with 6 spd. She has "ride select control" but the previous owner installed cheap off the shelf shocks, pretty crappy ride and rear rides spongy. I haven't look to see if the rear still has the stock shocks. I'm debating on wheather to get the ride select control operating again or just install a set of decent shocks.
It would be nice to have it working but I don't want to spend a mint on something that really dosen't matter to me. What do you guy's think
Bilstein.com has a set for $289 for your car on eBay. They come in 4 different types ,stock to stiff whatever you like. It will cost around $200 per shock+$200 per actuator to get the selective ride re-installed unless you can find someone who wants to part with thiers mabey ask the previous owner what he did with them. Bilstein will rebuild them fo $145 each if the gears are broke(common) or revalve them for cheaper.

i would get the FX 3 working...great option when working.. You can get 4 new FX3 shock for about $600+. Then of course used actuators 100 or so a piece.. see if the src modual is still in there too.. Im still trying to get mine to work..but loved it on my 90 vert
I can rebuild actuators if you have ones with broken gears in them. I replace the plastic ones with billet aluminum. They function exactly the same as stock and are much stronger. I am working on getting a website up and running to be able to offer these to people. Sorry to those of you that have heard this from me before, I am probably sounding like a broken record. I like the fx3 option when it is working properly but don't like to pay 250.00 or more for new actuators which also have plastic pieces which in my opinion are just waiting for the future.
