Then again I guess that depends on your definition of "modifications". ANY single change begets at least two more.

i want to keep the cfi manifold and up, and ideally all belt acessories except the smog pump. so whatever block i can with edlebrock performer heads, a mean cam, and the cfi intake. I'd love to have at least 400 hp and around 450 tq otherwise i might as go to the extra trouble of swapping in a crate engine with a carb setup. and Oklahoma has no emissions tests, or yearly inspections to worry about, so headers, no cats and spintech mufflers will be used. I'll also be putting in a richmond 6spd and dana 44 with 3.54 ratio

My aforementioned engines will accept all your present accessories and bolt ons. The largest of those will likely need a greater intake flow capacity than you can get from the Crossfire. I used to race with a guy with a 400 CID Crossfire Firebird.
