As long as you are NOT looking for any peformance out of a programmer for the LT4 you won't be disappointed. The reason why I say that is that I have a hypertech (and an LT4) and it has some nice features but the perfomance side lacks a lot. It's actually shown to lose power when the program is loaded. GM did a nice job on the LT4 edit for the PCMs so I wouldn't mess with it. I would recommend them for the cooler fan turn on, RPM limiter adjusted, top speed remover, and rear gear ratio options. Get a used on if you can so you don't waste too much $$. Good luck

I had a Hypertech Programmer for my auto trans '95 Vette and found the Power Tuning feature to be nothing special. It was handy for playing with tranny shift points and shift firmness, and to program the radiator fans to come on sooner, though.
