I looked in my GM manuals and could not find a listing of all the ground locations on my Corvette. I have found the ones towards the rear of the car and have cleaned them but for whatever reason, I haven't found any in and around the engine compartment, from above or below. I might not be looking in the right section in the shop manuals, so if someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it or just a simple descrition where to look on the car.
There are also grounds inside the car... one on each side of the dash... there are grounds in the back. If memory serves, there are 27 separate ground points on a C4....
I am surprised that the Helm Manual does not show where the grounds are.
Is there a separate ground for the speedo ? Occasionally, I'll go over a sharp bump, and the speedo will go to "0"... go over another bump, and it will come back on, although, lately it hasn't been coming back on as quickly as before. When it's not working, everything else (including cruise) is working. I've even replace the gauge cluster. "feels" like a loose connection somewhere. I replaced the ground strap to the bell housing, but that didn't seem to make any difference. Needless to say, it's maddening !!
I have a 92 C-4 and I lost my taillights last night! Headlights come on but no taillights. Brake lights work. My interior lights stay on all the time weather I'm driving or parked! Has anyone had this problem???

pull the buttons gently out on the door switch then shut the door to ajust.
I believe there is a ground for the tailights behind the back tag plate.

I thought of that, but when I open the door, the door light "Door ajar" comes on and when I shut it, the door light goes off. Interior lights stay on! I took the headlight switch off and the lights still stayed on? Can it still be the switch???
Btw, taillights was a fuse!!!! I feel stupid!!! I thought if the headlights are working then the taillight should also... I didn't realize there are two separate fuses...
