Cooling fans not coming on

I replaced the water pump and the fans are not kicking on, except when the AC is on.

Relay or temp sensor? Both are easy and cheap fixes.

What year Vette?? What temp T-stat??

Since they come on with AC line pressure the relays are fine and so is the ECM connection as well as power connections.

I bet there's a chance that when you replaced H20 pump that you may have unplugged sensor wires. If your 1996 lt1 is like a 90 l98 in this area, and I think it is, your temp sensor is located just under the thermostat housing up front. Make sure it's wires are not damaged or unplugged.
