Default Too much fuel?

ok my car runs good but it burns fuel like a ****. I know it is a Vette and a 5.7L motor and I can live with that, but according to my trip I am not going to make it 100 miles on my current tank. and the worse thing is i am not driving crazy

also when I put the car in drive it always feels like it is going to take off, not like a normal car just kind of starts and rolls this thing is ready to run. This is with no throttle at all just in drive. so i am wondering if something is set wrong or I am getting too much fuel at idle? But I am not sure b/c it runs fine except at idle

The Vette in the avatar looks like it's L98 powered so jumper ALDL pins A&B (upper right), start the engine and watch the SES light flashes.

Note that initially the flashes will be about 2Hz but will slow to 1Hz after a minute or two. This is when the ECM goes into closed loop mode and is using the O2 sensor data to trim A/F. If the On/Off durations are about equal the A/F is fine; if not replate the O2 sensor.

If the SES flashes don't slow to 1Hz, check the coolant temp sensor in the front of the intake base under the TB. If ok, replace the O2 sensor.

Also check for any stored trouble codes.

BTW, what kind of mileage does it show when cruzin at say 65mph on a flat freeway??
