Do not know what is best. But I will tell you I use the Mobile 1 oil filter in my 94 LT1. I have had the Vette for three years now and have been satisfied.
I change the oil and filter in early Spring and late Fall.
Use your favoriate. I use a K & N oil filter. We have done this post to death and you'll find that most of us use K & N, but we use the majority of filters out there with the exception of Fram. Just my .02
FRAM went to a much cheaper cardboard filter media a number of years ago. The size of the filter media is also much smaller than other filters use. Save your FRAM filter when you change oil again and install a different filter like AC Delco, Purolator or WIX. Then at the next change, save that filter. Cut the metal exterior can off the filters and compare them and you will see the difference.
I use AC Delco filters on my cars. There are other good filters like K&N and Mobil-1 but can be pricey. Purolator is another good filter as is the NAPA or WIX filter.

Fram is ghetto garbage. Get that **** off your 'Vette NOW! Need proof? Go to your local NAPA auto parts store counter and look at the ACTUAL PRODUCT CUTAWAYS. Then flee in horror as you bolt home to get that Fram filter off your ride.
Another scathing rebuke against Fram; no auto manufacturer either foreign or domestic uses them as their O.E.M. filter supplier. Fram used to be the shet back in the day, but they're Bantha poodoo now!

Keep in mind, this is one man's opinion.
I'm also not convinced that the Fram is an engine-killer.
As often as we change oil/filters, just about anything would work fine. Remember, the original Chevrolet small block didn't even have an oil filter....
The purpose of a filter is to remove particulates. They might be combustion by products that fall out of suspension or metallic wear by products. The better the oil, the shorter the drain interval, the lower the incidence of particulates.
Larry code5coupe raises an intersting observation about the absence of oil filters in the original sbc engines

Maybe. But Chevy eventually went to an oil filter...presumably for good reason.
K&N-- built like a tank, but many flow tests show, it doesnt really flow better than any other filter! Now with silicone ADBV, but still doesnt justify the huge price, still a nice filter.
Mobil1= Some say it filters so well, its TO restrictive! I suppose it doesnt matter, since the bypass valve is on the block. But it could lead to the bypass opening more! I still wouldnt have a problem using one.
Purolator Premium plus actually is the best flow/filtering compromise. In my opinion, after reading many tests, this is an awesome filter!
Also, Im a huge fan of Wix, Napa gold, carquest premium, and any other WIX made filter!
