Default Ceramic Coated Y - Pipe

Should the Y-pipe be ceramic coated?
Why or why not.

I've "HEARD" airflow is smoother traveling through coating, but someone please chime in and verify.

Also be careful, I've heard to not coat the inlets/outlets a couple inches off because the extra coating has caused fitment issues sometimes making it too tight to get on and then you wind up grinding off coating at the tips to make fit.

Just passing on stuff I remember reading on the forum.

Coat it for corrosion protection, beautifying but for any other reason. It is not really necessary. I coated my X pipe but it was because it's made of mild steel so I went after corrosion resistance.

I coated mine - It cut my undercar heat in tranny tunnel down substantially. This was the main reason I wanted to do it .
