Had the outside weather stripping on the drivers side replaced yesterday on my 91 Coupe. The weird thing is that now the automatic door locks stopped working, but the keyless entry system works fine. I brought it back to the shop, and they checked the fuses, took apart the door to make sure all the connections check out, but to no avail.
Any ideas why this would happen? The only other possible thing that could be causing the problem is a fuse down in the keyless entry system. Any ideas????
There's a 4 fuse fuse block up in the passenger side dash almost behind the glovebox. #3 is for the power doorlocks. My 1990's factory owners manual shows it on page 375. Although if the pke is opening it, it may not be this fuse. I takes a contortionist to get to it. You have to drop the hush panel underneath and get in there almost upside down with your back breaking across the passenger seat to get up in there to it.
This is another one that the General should be shot for.
