I just did this on my 89 convertible. The repro's usually come with the rivets, the OEM don't. The rivets are a certain size, but I can't remember at the moment what it is. I used repro's from Mid America, quality seemed comparable to what I took off.
I also changed the inner seals and the door-top felt window guides while I was at it. Got rid of an annoying squeak!
