1990 wouldn’t start
It was a nice day to day. So at lunch I sprayed the dust off the Vette and then when to Park to rest my eyes for a few minutes. I had the radio on and after 30mins I when to start the car and nothing not even a click. I try pulling the key out and putting the car in neutral, nothing. I called AAA and waited for someone to show up. After about 10mins I tried it again and it started right up. Any ideas?

Sounds like a Vehicle Anti- Theft System problem. i don't know if the 90 came with it. Others will chime in, but take a look at your key. If it has two small metal slides on the shank, you have VATS. There is a resistor on VATS equipped cars inside the key. If those contacts get dirty, or the resistance varies a small amount, the starter will not engage. In fact, the ignition circuit is dead.

Could be a glitch in VATS or park neutral switch. Or starter solenoid inermittently or just the battery drained down below 12 volts and charged back enough in 10 mins without a load to start. Leave it on a charger over night and let us know if it happens again.

My 90 did the same thing a couple of times.
My 90 did the same thing a couple of times. It turned out to be VATS as others have suggested. Next time it happens, with the key unlock the drivers door again whether it is locked or not. Then try the ignition. This worked for me. Let us know if it works for you. Hopefully, you won't get the chance to try again.
