ZF6 tailhousing issue
Had a driveline inbalance and pulled the trans the other day. Inspected the slip yoke, it was toast. Rear bearing ate it up. Anybody pull theirs apart as well?
This inside the tailhousing with the bearing removed.

Mine was shot when I bought the car 3 years ago. The previous owner drove it with the C-beam loose and the rear of the tranny was moving up/down with the application of throttle. My mechanic had to replace the tailhousing/bearing. The tailhousing isn't cheap - I remember him saying that the part was ~$400.
