Default Hood Clearance

I took the crossfire out of my 84 and put in a carburator. The low profile air cleaner fits w/o the top. Does anyone know who makes an aftermarket hood with about a two inch cowl clearance?

Toledo Pro Fiberglass. You can buy them direct or you can buy them from Melrose. The folks at Melrose are super nice and helpful.

Which intake manifold and carb did you install in place of your crossfire? How much do you have or how much clearance are you lacking? Will the hood close? Do you have the carb choke horns still on the carb? Have you seen the B&M/Holley air cleaner relocated air cleaner hat? You may have some other options depending on how tight you are currently. Post some photos and many a few of us can help you.

I replaced the crossfire with a Holley Street Avenger 670cfm and an Edlebrock Performer manifold. The carb still has the horns on it. I can close the hood without the lid on the cleaner. I am pretty tight at this point(less than a 1/4in!).
