Default Supercharger questions

I have a 94 vette and i want to supercharge it. Now ive noticed that the Camaro Kits are cheaper by almost a grand on the procharger kits and vortec kits. what would be the difference between them. I have a Stock vette and i wanna ad a good amount of power all at once and i am a little leary of NOS and i dont want to tear into the engine as of yet so SC sounds like the way to go. What do i need to do and what kits should i be looking at

there's a ton of differences between the kits. I can't imagine one working on a vette.

You better off buy the right kit for your car. If you are trying to save $ by buying cheaper kit was designed for other cars. The end result will be headach and possibly will costing you more. The reason the F cars blower kit don't work on vette (LT1/4) because the blower it self is different (reverse rotation) That is why the mounting orientation is different.. Now if you are a good fabricator, you can buy the reverse rotation blower head unit only and make your own bracketry and everything else. The results will be much more superior than the OEM kit.

The camaro blower has a clockwise rotation while the Vette has a counter-clockwise rotation. At least this is the way it is with a Vortec system. So there is no way a Vortec will work as is. Not to mention that the bracketry is totally different.

MY experience has ALWAYS been what you try to save on the front end of a project, you spend twice that amount on the back side of the same project...

I think most everyone can relate...

Hope this helps...
