Gas Tank///Gas stuck inside???????
I need to drain the gas out of my 89, the standard hand pump isn't cutting it. What is the best way to drain this dang thing, just take the line of and turn the car on and let the pump do it. I need this done before the end of this week so I can trailer the car to Bowling Green to have Mr. Kilebrew look at this thing????/

I don't think pumping it out with the fuel pump is such a good idea. From what I understand, the gas in the tank cools the pump. if you let the gas level get too low, you will most likely burn up the pump.

I used the pump. I simply powered up terminal "G" in the ALDL with 12 volts and let her rip. I pumped it directly into my pick up's tanks. If you would rather not run the pump with the tank that low, disconnect the fuel filter and gravity will drain it. You can use the 2 second priming feature to get it started if necessary.
