Default Weather Stripping

I just had new weather stripping installed on my 84. The problem I am now having is that the windows will not go up. Will the trim break in? Or is the trim to big? Help please!(weather strip is going from the rt side over the targa to the lft side)

Your windows may need adjusting.
Or, your weather stipping might be the wrong one.
Or, your power windows might need an upgrade. I did my early 86 to the late 86+ style and it made an incredible difference.
Who did the work?

there's lots of room for adjustment in the windows. If a shop installed them, there's no way they should send it out the door without windows that go up.

What brand of weatherstripping? Was it Metra? I've heard it's thicker than the oem stuff and tricky to get it all sealed up properly, and have doors that shut.

This sticker should be on your radiator.

Well, two things, Vinnies87 has a very good word doc on how to adjust your windows-open a new post-"paging Vinnies87" he's a very nice guy, and always ready to help!

Second, the first time I had my windshield and gasket replaced-I ran into the same problem as you-the after market gaskets are much firmer(at least that was my experience, had it replaced with OEM) but, they said it would soften up after time. Good luck-it's just a matter now of adjusting the windows.
