90 6 spd flywheel need HELP.

Help, Info needed on 90 6 spd flywheel

I have the clutch apart and noticed. On the flywheel, you have the front plate where the ring of gears are and then the back plate or clutch surface area. This is one big unit. I can move the back face or clutch plate that the pressure plate bolts up to. Side to side about 1 inch. The flywheel or front plate does not move at all when I do this. Is this normal. Thanks Mike

how many miles and are you able do this by hand?

If it's by hand, the dual mass flywheel is junk. Sorry. Contact Tom at Carolina Clutch, he can get you one, or, Chris at Superior Chevy, 1.800.728.8267.

The unit has 75000+ on it and I am doing this with very little effort by hand.

you should not be able to move the dual mass by hand...Junk. Get a new one or change over to a single mass flywheel...

Just bought a dual mass for my 89 from Carolina clutch. I paid $650.00ish. Flywheel and clutch assembly was right at $1000.00.

What about Fidenza flywheels?

I have heard good and bad on these. Do they really make as much noise as some say? How do they compare to the duel mass? Any good locations on the west coast to buy a fly wheel.
