It's Alive!....Again!
Fired up the new motor this evening! I am pumped. 2nd new motor in a month. I sure hope this one lives thru the breakin. I decided to put a fresh 383 to replace the new, but blowed up 406. I went with the 406 Edelbrock heads and the old faithful 219 cam out of my origional hurt 383. Old 383 ran 12.02. New 383 is same basic combo but 1/4 point mpre compression and the edelbrock heads. I hope to make the May 27 street race at Beaver Springs Dragway. Wish me luck!

Rich, this is the street race I mentioned in the pm. Bob Motz and his 6 sec jet truck, 12 sec full size turbo deisel rigs, and Andy Jensens low 6 sec vette will be there. Huge field of fast street cars. A great night for sure. Pencil it in if you can.
