Clutch chatter....or something close.
I have a 94 six speed. Mods are minor (shorties, no cats, Corsa, K & N, plus several even smaller). My problem is in 1st gear, at WOT I get a "chatter", it almost feels like tire rub. At first I thought it was just wheel spin, but now think it is much worse. I never noticed it until about two months ago when road salt and sand were still around but the road is clear now. There is no noise and accelleration is not down. ANY CLUES?

Well, after posting this. I stopped and did a couple of hard 0-70 runs (1st, 2nd, 3rd) and felt the vibration all the way through first, in the first half of second gear, and hardly at all in third. None in the other gears. The clutch is not slipping in any gear, regardless of throttle position and the launches were smooth with no or very, very little wheel spin. Shifts into second result in a nice long pronounced chirp, while shifts into third result in a quick chirp.
