Has anyone used the manual fan switch that is listed on Mid America website. It's listed for 84-95 C4's and not the 96's. Is there a difference in the cooling systems between a 95 and 96? Why would this switch not work for a 96? Is the fan relay switch different on a 96?
i just bought a rocker switch and tapped into the ground wire on the fan and put it on my kick panel, and ran the other side to a ground, i did this on my 89, single fan. but you could do this for both fans, i haven't really looked on the wiring schematics to see how they're wired together. mucho cheaper than mad
Mine was even worse than not having a kit on my 94....the previous owner tapped into BOTH fans and grounded them right next to the relays and removed the thermostat. I caught the wires pretty quick then cut them ( I will connect them from time to time if it is over 90 degrees). I did not catch the thermostat until winter and could not figure out why the car would not heat up past 120 degrees...NO $hit$!!!! He lived in Miami were it gets REAL HOT....that is the only excuse I can give him.
I did fall trap and buy one of the power antenna kits....$20 for 2 feet of 16ga wire and a tiny switch.
