I'v replaced three 02 sensors on right side in the pass year and a half
going to put LT headers on soon......just wondering would simulators
eliminate having to replace 02 sensors?
That won't work. O2 simulators are designed to provide an output that fools the computer into thinking the cats are working properly. IE, they replace the REAR O2 sensors on an OBDII car.
For OBDI if you used an O2 simulator the computer would not get reasonable input and as such would not adjust fuel properly. The car will run for complete crap.

What brand sensors are you using? I have had customers bring me El-Cheapo no name generic sensors that lasted from a few months to a couple weeks. Or another reason is that something is poisoning the sensors. If you have used RTV sealant on your engine that may not be sensor safe, this could be a reason for killing them. Or you could have an external wiring issue that may appear to be a sensor problem, and when you replace one, the wiring gets disturbed and goes back to being OK? Just speculating, as I don't see sensors going bad on a regular basis.
